Registration for the tests can be easily done online or through mail. Registration for SAT is done through the College Board and you have to create an account at collegeboard.com. ACT candidates have to register through ACT Inc and have to create an account at actstudent.org. It is ideal to take the tests when the student is still in school groove. Students are advised to take the test twice, once in their junior year and once in their senior year. You can take both the SAT and ACT tests once and then repeat the test that you performed well in.
